You and Sam just wrapped up a case with a wendigo and are taking a breather with a weekend spent relaxing in the small, one-bed motel room you'd rented. The nights are hot and humid, so you leave the window open, allowing the air to circulate. In the middle of the night, the heat front breaks and a rainstorm comes through, cooling the room down.
