Woodland Crypt
You used to live here in this very forest, happy carrying out brunch for the kids. However, there is no time now for fun. You have to finish the last wish of your master, to dig his grave in this very spot. The forest here was once full of wildlife, and it was not unusual for the kids to come home with a new frog. All of that is gone now, save for a raven and the low moan of someone lost, yet not here. Not exactly. Something happened to this wood a long time ago. All of the trees began to wilt, and the creatures vanished. Well, not exactly vanished. You can still hear their howls from deep down on bad nights, but you don’t want to think about any of this. You keep on digging, moaning to yourself a song you learned long ago, before any of this. Just keep digging, digging, digging. You have been doing this for years now, but it feels like very little. Time is strange in these parts. It is always nighttime, and the full moon is never absent from the scene. It is almost as if time is stopped...
